Beautifool Process

Welcome to Tightrope Acts On An Invisible Thread, a series of playshops created for the curious, wild hearted, and slightly off-kilter. This is a space for daring softness, strange stories, and the everyday balancing acts we perform between art and aliveness. Together we write, move, draw, and reach across the invisible thread that connects us. Each playshop is a way to catch wonder midair and hold it for a moment. You don’t need to be polished or practiced, just willing to show up with your imagination.

Email me to request a session or with any questions. Class will run when an agreeable date and time is chosen by all registrants. Sessions are $20 payable through Venmo or Paypal. You'll receive a link to the Zoom session and any suggested supplies and/or notes when the class is filled.

Acts That Balance on the Highwire of Writing & Art

These playshops are contemplative, playful, and tactile. Ideal for daydreamers, and people who like glue sticks.

The Sacred Ordinary Speaks of You
Create small assemblages from meaningful objects. Photograph your arrangement, then write from its image and emotion. This is a poetic practice of honoring memory, feeling, and the sacred ordinary.

Mapping Emotional Territory

We enter the practice of map-making to find what’s felt but not yet named, tracing the hidden coastlines of emotion. Guided by

image, language, and the quiet magic of metaphor, we chart the ever-shifting geographies of the heart.

Museum of Lost Words

Step into a creative space where forgotten words, unspoken thoughts, and vanished feelings find new life. Through poetic and visual exercises, we’ll explore the gaps in language and memory, crafting works that reimagine what has been lost. Curate your own collection of the unseen and unspoken.

Postcards From the Impossible

Send illustrated letters to (or from) imagined lands. Using collage and poetic writing, we’ll create one-of-a-kind postcards that travel from the borders of the dream world to the mailbox of the present.

Acts That Balance on the Highwire of Circus & Theatre

These playshops  tumble through softness and story, where balance is a question and foolishness is a gift. Ideal for the curious mover, the quiet clown, and anyone longing to play at the edge of gravity and grace.

The Tender Fool

A playshop in softness, silliness, and character creation for beginners and seasoned performers alike. We’ll explore the art of clown through gentle play, quiet curiosity, and the surprising depth of foolishness. Come meet your tender fool.

The Curious Dramas of Everyday Objects

What stories do your shoes hold? What secrets does a spoon keep? In this workshop, we breathe theatrical life into the objects around us. Through improvisation and imagination, ordinary things become extraordinary characters with feelings, motives, and monologues.

Balance, Fail, Repeat

Inspired by the tightrope but grounded in the real, this all-levels movement workshop explores the art of balance, both literal and metaphorical. Through playful, low-stakes physical experiments, we’ll wobble together toward steadiness (and enjoy the occasional flail!).

Acts That Balance on the Highwire of Poetry & Theatre

These workshops are dream-forward, body-curious, and full of poetic permission. Ideal for performers, and those longing to move gently into theatrical space.

The Echo Room

A playshop of experimental performance poetry. In a space shaped by sound, silence, repetition, and voice, we’ll create layered pieces that echo across time and screens. Come explore the resonant spaces between language and performance.

Silent Spaces Spoken

Shape and share a monologue that moves, transforms, and lingers. In session one, we’ll write, focusing on voice, structure, and emotional arcs through guided prompts. In session two, we’ll bring your words to life, exploring pacing, physicality, and breath. Open to all, whether you're new to the stage or returning to it.

Poem as Ghost, Body as House

A dreamy workshop of poetic embodiment. We start with subtle gestures and slowly invite text to inhabit us. With permission to move in quiet, curious ways, we explore how poetry can live in elbows, chins, and shoulder blades.

Inside Out Ensemble

An ensemble-based workshop for translating emotion into gesture. Without calling on dance skills or choreography, we turn inner landscapes into shared stage pictures through storytelling, mirroring, and imaginative collaboration. Especially welcoming to those new to movement.
